The Site Safety Manager will be responsible to lead a team of hourly safety team members: Safety Specialist, Safety Coordinators, Onsite first aid Associates. This individual must create and execute leadership development plans for their Safety Associates on their team. They must communicate safety team expectations and give frequent and appropriate feedback to their safety teams and ensure they are executing to the core competencies of an Amazon safety professional.
In this role, you will coordinate the incident reporting process and maintains required records related to workplace issues and incidents; serve as the companys initial point of contact for governmental regulatory agencies on issues related to health and safety.
In this role, you will be responsible to develop and implement worldwide safety standards on topics including but not limited to powered industrial truck, material handling equipment, electrical safety, control of hazardous energy.
This position will initially be an individual contributor but we expect that over time this role will be responsible for managing employees and working with other managers to provide direction and guidance to team members.
