This position is responsible for application administration for selected systems and performing process analysis to oversee the efficient and effective operation of the Financial Systems applications and underlying architecture while also understanding the business functional requirements.
Tasks will be in the areas of High Power RF, Pulsed Power, Prime Power, and Directed Energy research, development, technology assessment, modeling and simulation, definition and performance trade-off analysis, system architecture development, model based systems engineering, doctrine and tactical policy development, prototype development including design, fabrication, test and evaluation planning and execution and integrated logistics support including deployment preparation and sustainment.
In this role, the selected candidate will analyze detail systems factors, including input and output requirements, information flow, hardware and software requirements, and reliability characteristics.
Prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
The candidate will work closely to integrate financial accounting and program management across the DOE and aid in the development of standard data collection categories and elements through the development of an enterprise IT system.
Provides project support and subject matter expertise to assigned program assessments. 1. Provides advanced analytical and technical support to Command and Control (C2) system assessment or integration projects.
Lead, or play lead technical role in development teams' efforts to determine unit needs and business processes that are automated by the application. Assess high level design issues relating to platform, enterprise software, and interactions with other systems.
