Support includes forecasting of financial performance, monthly financial closing and performance reporting, inputs to long range planning process, monitoring of labor charging of both company and subcontract employees, development of financial analysis to support operations and program decision-making. Works closely with Program Manager, Customer representatives, and Subcontractor Vendors.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of accounting principles (preferably governmental accounting), advanced SQL skills that include but not limited to PL/SQL procedures, packages, cursors and joins and demonstrated skills in data analysis techniques by resolving issues where there is missing/incomplete information and/or inconsistencies/anomalies in data.
Support Branch Controllers with Reconciling, analyzing and reviewing general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close to ensure accuracy and validity of accounting transactions and company books and records.

Responsible for oversight and performance of varied areas of financial analysis and reporting including one or all of the following: standard monthly management reporting and variance analyses, account reconciliations, financial reporting, Capex reporting budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning.
The Sr. Financial Analyst provides decision support by collecting, analyzing and interpreting data, as well as forecasting business trends to support the overall strategic and operating plans of Advance Auto Parts.
Analyze and update basic program documents, including funding documents, multi-slide briefings, and presentations; maintain responsibility for analytical, technical, and administrative duties in one or more phases of the budgetary process.
A successful candidate will perform analytical studies and evaluates such functional areas as resources (to include funding and personnel) required to accomplish assigned programs, alternative acquisition strategies to accommodate funding shortfalls, and effectiveness of managing assigned resources.
