Analyze; troubleshoot; and reconfigure an enterprise network to maintain constant WAN availability. Assist with new installations by 3rd parties into the WAN architecture by remotely configuring Cisco and Juniper devices.
In this role, the selected candidate will support the operations and making day to day changes in the network environment; should also be good with Cisco routers i.e. 3935, 7200, ASR series and Cisco switches i.e. 3750, 4500, 6500, Nexus platforms.
Provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
Create router and switch designs and configurations linking numerous computing platforms, operating systems, and network topologies across widely dispersed geographical areas for classified and unclassified intranet based upon approved architecture and design.
A qualified candidate will work in our Network Provisioning team to transition, troubleshoot, modify and remove services within the production network, while controlling the risk of failure and disruption. He/she will act as the primary interface between design and operations, maintain the approved network configuration standard, minimize risk during provisioning changes, and provide accurate reliable documentation of all network services.
Assist in preparation for the transition of telecommunications services from incumbent contractors to new contracts and resolve any technical telecommunications problems that arise during system transitions.
