Performs expert-level systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering.
The candidate must be an experienced linux/centos system administrator to manage four separate production environments of the application running in virtual and cloud environments, and support system administration duties for the development environment.
Responsible for security and audit controls, audit responses, data integrity, and risk mitigation to include disaster recovery planning, historical audit data collection, retention and change management.
Eperience with build outs of Windows 7, 8, 2008 R2 Server and Linux using vSphere client and console; experience with Administering Active Directory Clustered server environment such as failover, DNS services, patching using WSUS etc.
Will be responsible for the administration of a set of deployable and static systems and networks in SCIF environments. Will administer, create, and configure several sets of domains that operate independently.
Create documentation as required for system related changes and updates; troubleshoot network/server performance and connectivity issues; assist with technology planning through ongoing research and testing.
Follows established schedules to ensure that server backups, operating system and utility processes are successfully executed on a daily or other specified basis; monitors operating system utility programs; analyzes logs and reports to confirm the successful execution of back-up and utility processes.
Hands on day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all of the Windows and Linux servers and platforms as well as VMs/Instances. (May also provide O&M for storage systems- both physical and virtual to include SAN).
Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery; develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
