Working in collaboration with the Attending Physician, provides comprehensive health assessments, develops plans of care, initiates interventions and utilizes prescriptive authority in the care of patients at the Joslin Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology.
In this role, the selected candidate will evaluate patients, orders appropriate laboratory testing and diagnostic studies, arranges for referrals, testing, consultation, and therapeutic services and maintains outstanding relationships with families, referring physicians and all members of the health care team.
The Physicians examine patients; take medical histories; prescribe medications; and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests. They often counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare.

The selected candidate will be responsible for dispense medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals. Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies and advising interventions.
