The successful applicant will carry out the downstream processing of recombinant proteins from microbial expression systems with the goal being to develop efficient, scalable and robust purification procedures that produce proteins of sufficient potency, purity and quantity to supply toxicology and clinical studies.
The role of the Research Scientist in Manufacturing Sciences & Technology, Downstream is to conduct experiments for the purposes of commercial manufacturing support for biopharmaceutical purification and bulk drug substance handling processes consisting of chromatography, viral inactivation, ultrafiltration/diafiltration, filtration and bulk scale cryogenics unit operations.
Provides occupational medicine services, including DOT exams and the treatment of Workers Compensation injuries; examines, diagnoses, and treats patients of all ages with acute illnesses and injuries or exacerbations of chronic disease.
A qualified candidate will be able to understand the scope of the program and work across IPTs to ensure all aspects of the systems engineering processes are covered from a technical and manpower perspective.
Assesses & evaluates patients, orders appropriate laboratory testing and diagnostic studies, arranges for referrals, testing, consultation, and therapeutic services, and maintains outstanding relationships with families, referring physicians and all members of the health care team.
