The System Administrator is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the server environment at Medicity by responding to tickets, building new servers, managing the virtual environment, software and firmware updates, documenting and improving process, and other work depending on business needs.
In this position, you must have experience should include, but are not limited to, system administration, performance tuning, Veritas backup solutions, RAID implementation, FIBER channel storage mediums and knowledge of Storage Area Networks (SAN).
The linux systems administrator, is in charge of hardware and software for our production environment. Understanding of the following in a corporate environment: linux operating systems (oel, rhel, centos primarily), system configuration, systems/process analysis and qa, data security, website application qa, office/developer automation, and system/service monitoring.
In this role, the selected candidate will perform System Administration functions such as user account maintenance, application and OS patches and updates, antivirus updates, security/event log review and analysis, network documentation, backup operations, hardware issue escalation, user training, and user support on Linux systems.
In this role, the selected candidate will work with other members of Global Infrastructure team to build, configure, patch, and support numerous landscapes of physical and virtual Linux servers in a multi-distribution environment.
In this role you will be providing technical and security support in a large 24x7 data center environment; systems administrators maintain operational stability and evaluate Windows operating environments for Information Assurance (IA) compliance.
