The RN SPECIAL CARE UNIT CARE COORDINATOR is responsible for supervising, implementing, coordinating, and managing patient care through interpersonal contact with patients, families, nursing staff, and others on his/her respective unit in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations.
The Registered Nurse practices according to the philosophy and policies/procedures of the community and state standards of practice. The RN performs under the direction of the Health & Wellness Director or Registered Nurse Consultant.
The selected candidate will provide day to day guidance, support and direction to direct patient care staff, providing informal feedback on an ongoing basis and formal feedback input for the annual performance evaluation. Participate in the department staffing and the appropriate hiring, firing and disciplinary actions. Recommend disciplinary action to Clinical Manager and initiate as appropriate.
