An Engineer provides technical support for all facets of the production process. This includes creating the technical foundation needed for new production to succeed, acting as a liaison to meet the technical needs of existing production, designing production tooling, developing solutions to material and process issues, developing production controls, and interfacing with customers when technical issues arise.
Define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces while ensuring accuracy and timeliness of Engineering Support Tasks, Liaison Support Requests, Engineering Projects, and/or Engineering Assignments.
Support information management assessment and authorization to include development of security controls test approaches and risk identification and mitigation to obtain an Interim Authority to Operate or Authority to Operate.
Apply knowledge of structural analysis (e.g., materials technology, finite element modeling, static analysis, fatigue analysis, damage tolerance analysis, thermal analysis, vibration analysis, structural testing, etc.) to determine structural adequacy for customer requirements and regulatory compliance; and to collaborate on structural design, manufacturing, and post-delivery of products.
