This position will maintain strict checks and balances to ensure that accounts are in balance and properly accounted for prior to closing. The position will also prepare, review, reconcile and analyze information supporting accounts and items contained in financial statements and budgets.
The Accountant will be responsible for budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis, allocations, journal entries, monthly processing of accruals, and other duties as deemed necessary. The individual will assist in monitoring of compliance, administrative policies and procedures and the corporate financial instructions.
In this role, the selected candidate provides specialized or general analysis support in various accounting functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Cost Accounting, Property Accounting and general accounting.
The Accountant will be responsible for preparing balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, reviewing accruals, preparing support schedules, and other accounting activities as required. The Accountant will learn compliance requirements related to administrative policies, internal controls, accounting policies, etc.
In this role, you will collect, enter and extract data and undertake analysis as directed. Assist in the timely preparation of client reports e.G. Taxation, equalization, performance fees, funds under custody/admin.
