This position will be located in our Plant 3, Whitehall Casting Operation. This position will be reporting to the Advanced Manufacturing Technology group and will be instrumental in identifying new manufacturing technology. They will be responsible for working with vendors and design teams, follow through the build phase, and implementation of this equipment in production before handing it off to the manufacturing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensures test results are documented and communicated appropriately and defects have been entered in the defect management tool. Interfaces with the customer as needed to reproduce an issue found in a particular vehicle or system.
In this role, the selected candidate must be skillful in interpreting and following industry and customer specifications; machine tool ladder logic programming should the project require the engineer to start from the ground up.
Normalizing large data sets from multiple automation sources and executing rapid real-time decisions and distributing data to diverse components, controls, GUI's and actuators on automated production lines.
