The successful candidate is responsible for collaborating with Process Engineering, Environmental, Inspection, Rotating Equipment, Electrical and Controls groups on design issues as well as operations on facility start-up. Also required is technical support in the areas of instrumentation and electrical for projects assigned to other engineers.
The Project Engineer will work as part of a team to develop new and innovative automotive refinish spray equipment. Key responsibilities of this position include researching, designing and developing, testing and documentation of new products.
In this role, you will be responsible for analyzes and designs new products with the ability to mitigate the effects of thermal, mechanical stresses and vibration present in the customer's applications through innovative design approaches.
Conduct impact analyses and modeling, assesses utilization trends, identifies risks, develops projections, determines opportunities and prepares detailed written recommendations and summaries for management review and decision-making.
The Manager is also responsible for system level DFMEA development, DVPR and Test Management execution to ensure functional objectives and durability goals are met. Participate in post-test reviews including failure analysis.
In this role, you will collaborate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify management objectives. Investigate improvements in the design or engineering capability of existing products.
Participates in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans. Participates in the development of criteria for and evaluation of equipment and technical MRO suppliers and technical maintenance service providers. Develops acceptance tests and inspection criteria.
