Be responsible for managing effective tax rate and cash taxes, leading quarterly and annual US accounting for income taxes, overseeing federal and state tax audits, driving strategic tax planning, supporting and educating business units on tax issues, managing and mentoring the tax department, and more.
This job drives value by providing support to project teams and business units throughout the organization with respect to the tax aspects of pending acquisitions, dispositions, financings, reorganizations (acquisitive and divisive), restructurings, and joint ventures in order to optimize tax treatment.
Perform first level detailed review of a portion of brighthouse financials indirect tax compliance and accounting, which could include premium, retaliatory and municipal tax, sales and use tax, payroll and product withholding tax, and property tax.
The Tax Manager is responsible for the compliance function on clients including supervising the preparation and technical review of corporate, partnership and personal income tax returns.
