Candidate will proactively identify Risks and Opportunities, develop workarounds, develop recovery plans and present to program and operations management. Candidate will support proposal activities throughout all production and development activities.
Develop welding techniques, procedures, and application of welding equipment to problems involving fabrication of metals, utilizing knowledge of production specifications, properties and characteristics of metals and metal alloys, and engineering principles.
Support and implementation and maintenance of the Carpenter Operating Model, including but not limited to: a standards rich environment, visual factory, daily management, problem solving supported by leader standard work, Gemba and continuous improvement thinking.
Determine material, parts, and equipment to be used for repair, installation and stock; communicate same to Chief Engineer; coordinate and participate in scheduled/preventive maintenance on all production equipment.
Conduct design trade studies to select the best possible design solution, taking into account factors including, but not limited to, system performance and functionality, strength, weight, manufacturability and cost.
Create assembly planning based on drawings and solid models, participates in engineering technical reviews, identifies opportunities for process improvement, and interfaces with Tech Ops/Design Engineering organization to implement DFA concepts.
Rapidly develop manufacturable designs of highly complex machines using solid engineering skills with attention to details and with a good working knowledge of a diverse spectrum of materials and manufacturing processes.
Produces technical specifications to match business requirements of low level complexity projects which may include report rating & minor enhancements. Develops, codes, tests, debugs, documents, maintains, modifies and installs programs.
Creates and reviews work instructions and related manufacturing documentation to ensure that they are fully compliant to all appropriate quality control specifications and that they achieve maximum effectiveness within cost and schedule constraints.
You will integrate traffic planning and drainage information into these designs. You may oversee the engineering analysis, preparation of estimates, plans and specifications as well as information for technical reports.
Management responsibilities include supervision of design and drafting staff, coordination with clients and associates, and organization of design and construction administration activities to meet established schedules and budgets.
