This position will have responsibilities outside of the area of foreign income tax which could include depreciation, tax accounting, domestic compliance, treasury administration, and other tasks as assigned.
This job drives value by providing support to project teams and business units throughout the organization with respect to the tax aspects of pending acquisitions, dispositions, financings, reorganizations (acquisitive and divisive), restructurings, and joint ventures in order to optimize tax treatment.
Your role will include identifying and implementing tax planning and consulting opportunities, preparation and review of client tax calculations, management of client tax relationships and supervising and developing staff. Must have the ability to manage client relationships, multiple projects and meet deadlines.
responsible for handling technical issues related to one or more of the following indirect transactional taxes in a multi-state environment: Sales and Use, Communications Services Tax, Gross Receipts Tax, Motor Fuel Tax, Utility Tax, etc.
Be responsible for managing effective tax rate and cash taxes, leading quarterly and annual US accounting for income taxes, overseeing federal and state tax audits, driving strategic tax planning, supporting and educating business units on tax issues, managing and mentoring the tax department, and more.
Participate with tax planning and tax forecasting professionals on acquisition and business development projects to provide tax accounting expertise and ensure that forecasts accurately reflect new acquisitions.
