Lead the team when necessary to get to the right answers or re-diverts project direction when it makes sense for the business. When this occurs, develops the business case for leadership to explain and seek support for changes in project direction.
Primary areas of responsibility include managing turnover, recruiting (for Sales, Management, Office, Production and Route Driver positions), payroll and benefits administration, driving positive employee relations and monitoring and ensuring compliance with the Company's legal obligations as to the FMLA, ADA, EEO/Affirmative Action, Workers' Compensation, Unemployment, and other employment laws.
Counsels, orientates, and trains managers and supervisors on the interpretation and administration of Human Resources policies. Administers Human Resources policies and procedures as they pertain to all employees.
Evaluate current procedures and practices and ensure compliance with all human resource related laws, regulations and executive orders Initiate or authorize employee hires, promotions, discharges, or transfers.
The HR Manager will be responsible for providing full human resources generalist support to the site. Such support will include recruitment and retention, HR program administration, employee and labor relations, compensation and benefits administration, performance management, coaching and counseling, and policy interpretation and application.
Working closely with the Business HR team, the HR Manager will be responsible for engaging in the design, delivery and execution of functional HR strategies. Working with the Business HR team, the position will play a critical role in providing tools, communications, and a clear path for execution of strategic functional initiatives ensuring success.
Managing the salary administration process including overseeing and tracking state-wide Personnel Action Forms from beginning to end, recommending salary treatment for new hires and promotions and assisting in the annual performance & merit review process.
