In this role, the selected candidate must have exposure to public companies, blue-chip developers, national banks and other sophisticated business clients in complex commercial real estate and corporate transactions along with representing entities involved in various commercial real estate and business transactions, including real estate purchases and leases, constructioncontracting and financing.
Serving as a legal resource for internal clients and internal compliance professionals on issues concerning the securities laws, and relevant SEC and other regulatory guidance, relating to the primary lines of business.
Draft, negotiate and close the various agreements for the fixed income repo desk. These agreements include, but are not limited to the master repurchase agreement, global master repurchase agreement, securities lending agreement, custodial undertaking agreement, guarantee, non-disclosure agreement, waivers, terminations, and various types of amendments.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for the areas of international and domestic documentation, construction, chartering, salvage and litigation, the candidate would also address charter, cargo, maritime liens, and domestic and international port and dockage matters.
Ensuring appropriate investigation of the underlying facts and circumstances is carried out, proper experts are retained and utilized where necessary, selection and utilization of counsel is appropriate, proper negotiation strategy is employed.
