Collaborates closely with marketing development managers, industry managers, area managers and account executives to insure that sales and marketing staff are made aware of new technologies and new products.
Participate in industry functions, seminars, and round tables to stay current with industry; interacts with development to enhance/refine company products in areas of expertise; delivers high quality technical company presentations and demonstrations in area of expertise.
Provide pre - sales assistance for sales opportunities to customers and partners. Including installations, troubleshooting and training of Websense products. Refine and research technical requirements of the opportunity.
The position will require working with the marketing department as well as the sales management team to formalize presentation tools and materials to assist in the sales process. Sales Engineers interact with sales, account management, product development, support, training, and other departments in order to communicate our client demands and implementation challenges.
As an Associate Sales Engineer, you will provide prospects and sales staff with technical product advice during sales discussions. This position requires the ability to competently perform online technical product installations and demonstrations, during which you must effectively promote product features, answer questions and clearly ascertain the prospects technical requirements.
As a Sales Engineer, you will actively drive and manage the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical adviser and product advocate.
