Provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to the maintenance team to develop a culture committed to safety, environmental awareness and continuous improvement, consistent with the ethic of responsible care.
Ensure compliance with company mandated safety and environmental policies, programs and guidelines as well as regulatory compliance; lead management team and group of employees and provide strong leadership, training, team building and supervision.
Provides management support and continuing development of management and supervisory personnel. Ensures that all capital items installed or replaced for all facilities meet SCORE requirements, and EnergyStar guidleines.
Oversees the day to day operations of fleet, shop, production, distribution, maintenance, customer and shop service functions; assign, monitors, and reviews the progress of accuracy of assigned work and deadlines.
As a key member of the operations team, the Plant Manager reports to the Global Director of Operations and is responsible for leading all manufacturing operations for the site including: safety, manufacturing, planning, purchasing, warehousing, maintenance, quality, technical operations, engineering and inventory management.
Manage the staffing process, such as scheduling and hiring to ensure levels are sufficient; hold associates accountable for work quality and performance and manage this performance by developing and communicating excellent standards of production and service.
Manage the overall operations of the production operations through planning directing and the achievement of key performance indicators to maintain maximum standards of product quality efficiency safety cost and schedule compliance. Directly manage all the supervisors and hourlies in a 160 person manufacturing operation.
Design of HVAC, gas, chiller and other systems for a variety of commercial facilities. Handle scope, budget, scheduling, etc. Ability to manage/mentor junior engineering staff, work with clients, meet deadlines, etc.
