The Hardware Support Engineer is responsible for hardware support of Mentor Graphics emulation products at customer sites to include delivery of parts, diagnostics, debug of electronic functional failures, hardware swap out, validation and tracking of parts, service calls etc.
The Product Engineering group is responsible for sustaining products that have entered the production phase of the life-cycle. The group needs a hardware engineer to manage and execute activities of qualifying components for inclusion on the Alternative Manufactures List as the need arises.
Perform tests of ScaleIO compatibility with DELL HW components, and certify DELL new servers generations, new BIOS versions and updates, compatibility with different drive types and PCI devices, network adapters and CPU architecture. Work involves both manual and running automated tests generated for this purpose.
You will be communicating and monitoring the fabrication of your parts, providing status updates to leadership, resolving problems throughout the development and production, and testing and troubleshooting.
