The Research Financial Analyst serves as a financial resource for the organization's Research departments; this role provides financial data and analysis to management, the operations team, and research investigators.
Lead financial team and develop all weekly and monthly financial close activities, planning, forecasting, and reporting models while overseeing their continuous innovation and communication to both your operations & other business partners.
Provide financial analysis on programs, including actuals, estimate to complete (ETC), estimate at complete (EAC) and Earned Value (EV) based on inputs from the program team for regularly occurring program reviews.
Work with investigators to develop grant submissions for new, continuing and competing applications to include grant proposal preparation, study budget forecasting, completion of required forms, as well as other administrative aspects of the proposal process.

Prepare monthly consolidation and reporting of financial and operational results, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and System policies and procedures, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of information.
Develop category-specific sourcing spend profiles by assembling spend detail baselines of incumbent supplier, product/service purchased, prices paid, internal consumers of product/service, and any performance to business requirements.
Utilize techniques to gather information at the right level of detail and scope to represent all of the stakeholder's needs, and the ability to ask questions that lead to an understanding of the business need.
Responsible for the oversight, technical and strategic support to a portfolio of EBP customers to support and drive core financial processes, including: budgeting, planning, headcount management, forecasting and special analysis.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a geographically dispersed group of business analysts, business users, developers, project managers, development managers, as well as senior technical leaders in a fluid environment to deliver high-quality applications on time, to specification and within budget.
