The Quality Engineer will be responsible to manage the Quality process for the Quality department. This will include; track engineering changes, produce PPAP/PSW packages for Customer, present PSW status to management and Customer, Enter data into Customer systems, such as LIONS. The Quality Engineer will also be responsible to assist in investigating quality issues, and following up with suppliers. The position will also involve preparing reports and presentations for management.
In this role, you will participate in management of the plant metrology program to assure all appropriate tooling is available for inspection and test, and that all calibration activities are performed when due.
In this role, the selected candidate must have an experience in the automotive industry, customer and supplier quality, root cause analysis and corrective action, parts product testing, supplier audits, TS16949, warranty returns, FMEA, PPAP, product launches, test plans, etc.
In this role, you will be responsible for specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
In this role, you will use an appointment tracking system, documents call plans, meeting notes and action items. Has established rapport, delivered on commitments, and developed a positive relationship with customers.
In this role, the selected candidate will participate in planning/review/retrospective activities and help to make adjustments to processes, environments, tools, etc. in order to make project teams more effective and capable of producing higher quality deliverables tightly aligned with business needs.
In this role, the selected candidate will create and maintain the Sherman + Reilly manufacturing facility Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with Divisional Quality policies and procedures, and the ISO international standard.
