The Information Systems (IS) Analyst is responsible researching, planning, coordinating, designing and implementing business, cost, strategy, software and system choices to meet the organization's business requirements.
The QA Analyst certifies and assures the quality of new and existing products by executing test plans and scripts to verify that new or modified software programs function according to user requirements and conform to established guidelines.
Contribute to regular project and business meetings, provide progress updates, report issues and risks and help to develop and manage key stakeholder relationships. Support the PM throughout the project (e.g. defining scope, estimating resource requirements, timelines).
The individual should have an investigative mindset that allows them to think out of the box as to why events are occurring and provide a rapid, but accurate, response to the emerging threats and trends.
Experience in the operation and theory behind Intrusion Detection Systems, and familiarity with Sourcefire (Snort rules apply), SIEM Technologies, Enterprise Security Tools, web gateway management, centralized log analysis, PCAP, and AntiVirus.
In this role, the selected candidate will collaborate with SCRUM/project team members and End-Users to understand the key processes and technologies within the Applications for the supported business functions.
In this role, you will recognize and identifies potential areas where existing business services policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed and makes recommendations in these areas.
The individual will need to be able to document and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams, assist in the investigation of events and follow-up with corrective actions and reporting.
Utilize reporting tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, Excel and Microsoft Dynamics Report Writer; extract meaningful information from system databases enabling users and management to make more informed business decisions.
