Senior mechanical engineers are responsible for leading engineering analysis and evaluation efforts of complex opto-mechanical systems, leading mechanical subassembly Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), developing alternative designs to satisfy mission level requirements, documenting design approaches, establishing design verification & validation, and developing plans to manufacture and test payload sensor systems. Senior engineers are required to support new business opportunities and actively develop junior level staff across different programs.
In this role, the selected candidate will be working at the direction of the engineering leader, to oversee internal and external resources, in the development of manual / semi-automated / full-automated processes for product assembly.
The ideal candidate has experience designing and analyzing mechanical systems, enjoys analytical problem solving and possesses practical knowledge of medium volume manufacturing methods using stamping, extrusion, casting, and injection molding.
The Quality Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for a variety of Quality Assurance activities related to coated product and process improvement. Specific functional areas include, but are not limited to design and execution of DOEs, qualifications and validations.
In this role, you will be responsible for project planning and structure, resource selection, engineering methodology and design, performance against all technical specifications, project and/or deliverable documentation and test plans, schedule tracking, and cost monitoring.
In this role, the selected candidate will ensure new processes have adequately demonstrated specified process and test control capabilities, through being the Champion for PFMEA, DFM, DFT, DFSS, CAPA and NCR.
