The Sr. Automation Engineer is responsible for providing all documentation required to support assembly equipment. This includes but is not limited to operating instructions, equipment drawings, specifications and completed FATs covering each piece of equipment provided.
The Sr. Automation Engineer responsibilities include but are not limited to support various manufacturing sites for Medtronic devices. This includes being the project lead in cost savings, manufacturing process improvements, and assembly equipment replacement projects.
In this role, the selected candidate will actively participate on new product development projects ensuring that product design inputs are clear, concise, testable and appropriate and that design outputs confirm compliance to the design inputs.

In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for publishing DFT BKMs, create DFT reference flows, consult/guide 1st source foundry customers designing into GLOBALFOUNDRIES technology PDKs on DFT recommendations, ensure test coverage is commensurate for the Shipped Product Quality Levels and drive towards lowest cost of test by offering DFT recommendations to customers.
Provide design assurance support in the development of medical device products, and facilitate the application of design controls and V&V system/software validation. Provide design assurance support to various manufacturing sites and contract manufacturers when design changes are required.
