As a Network Administrator you will be responsible for a variety of computer, server, and network related responsibilities including project planning, participation in project management, resource management, project plan development, requirements gathering, design, testing, implementation and maintenance of highly technical, large-scale enterprise computer systems and networks.
The DREN Network Administrator/Engineer will monitor existing network infrastructure and ensure proper operation of all wired and wireless network equipment from a variety of vendors, to include Cisco, Nortel/Avaya, Brocade, Juniper and Aruba.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing and maintenance of all network services as well as regulating their use through proper network security. This includes but is not limited to file, print, email, web, data base, routers, switches, firewalls, SPAM and anti virus solutions, remote access, DR site, backup and monitoring systems.
In this role, the selected candidate will monitor the network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. Network and Computer System Administrator will supervise other network support and client server specialists and plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures.
