The Gas Estimator will prepare accurate and timely construction estimates for large scale complex construction projects including natural gas transmission, distribution, and LNG and regulator stations.
Prepare estimates and issue proposals for concrete services after reviewing design documents, drawings, specifications, and completing quantity take-offs; maintain strict adherence to company standards as related to estimating and project management.
Deliver specification review, analysis of the scope of work, preparation of take offs for rough-in materials and quoted items, scope preparation for subcontractors (ductwork, controls, insulation, etc.) on plan/spec and design/build projects.
The Estimator is responsible for all aspects of estimating the most complex and large-scale jobs, including pre-construction, hard bids, negotiated bids, budgets, general conditions, systems studies and comparisons, value engineering, subcontractor relations and staying abreast of industry developments applicable to estimating.
Identify scope of work and perform quantity takeoff from RFQ information for heavy civil construction projects including bridge projects; review available plans and specifications to make sure estimate effort is in compliance.
The MEP Estimator is responsible for all aspects of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection estimating including pre-construction, hard bids, negotiated bids, budgets, general conditions, systems studies and comparisons, value engineering, subcontractor relations and staying abreast of industry developments applicable to estimating.
Meet with potential clients to discuss project particulars including scope, budget, timeline, etc; perform the initial review of potential projects to determine scope of work; client needs; preliminary budget; timeline; project viability; etc.
Responsible for detailed cost estimating and qualification development for proposals, regardless of size or complexity. Professionally and adequately estimate the cost for and pacing of the personnel, equipment, materials and subcontractors.
