The Market Development Manager (MDM) is designed to be a developmental role that will prepare the incumbent to be an independent sales professional in a highly rewarded Business Development Executive (BDE) role.
In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of the Tyson Brands category/brand strategies at the customer level that deliver Annual Operating Plan (AOP) profit targets by achieving targeted volume, Gross Sales After Trade (GSAT) / Trade as a Percent of Revenue (TAPR) and DSMPA (distribution, shelving, merchandising, pricing and activation) compliance.
In this role, you will develop and nurture professional relationships with key FS distributor and operator customers within specific markets while possibly managing a broker. Work directly with division brokers to increase product knowledge and implement sales strategies.
In this role, you will develop and execute against a strategic plan that leads to the creation and maintenance of a robust sales pipeline including opportunities in existing accounts as well as driving net new business in untapped customers.
The selected candidate will sell high quality chemical products for Biologic Safety Testing, Bio-manufacturing services and Toxicology services to Biotech, Pharma and Diagnostic Testing Services companies nationally.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for the sales support and account management for select key accounts within the territory; implement sales strategy for new product line growth in the territory.
In this role, you will be responsible for effectively managing plan-o-gram and display space, order recommendations, promotional plans, in-season trends, as well as sales, margins, turns, and fill rate goals.
