The Healthcare Data Scientist is responsible for mining and analyzing complex and unstructured data sets using advanced statistical methods. Responsibilities include research/analytic study design, data exploration and preparation, data analysis, and report preparation. This position will work with individuals who work with data across the AHA.
The Data Scientist role will help to define data collection requirements, perform statistical analysis on data set and create reports to support trading and technology management. The team works very closely with traders, risk management, financial engineering, platform services, and operations.

In this role, you will create innovative vision and strategy, along with business application and modeling framework, for new datasets, and discovers insights and relationships from large/complex datasets through investigative research using advanced mathematical and/or statistical techniques.
The successful candidates will be PhD, MD, or MD-PhD scientists or physician-scientists with outstanding research accomplishment and potential, and a record of success in competing for independent research funding.
