This candidate will be responsible for special projects within and across teams that are not repetitive in nature and will require the candidate to draw upon previous technical and analytical experience.
The Data Analyst has the primary responsibility of data collection, modeling, and reporting of results; during the analysis phase of a project they will qualify the opportunities in the client's business and during the engagement phase they will support the need for ongoing data-driven work to enhance the client's systems and processes.
Develops new data extracts or management reports using reporting software such as SQL, Spotfire, SAS, Business Objects or Cognos. (SQL and Spotfire are the preferred tools. SAS experience is a plus.) Reports typically involve bringing together data from multiple locations in a database and/or from multiple databases.
Develops relationships with users and other IS team members to enhance the timeliness and effectiveness of IT solutions. Planning, Assists with projects in the planning, design, development, testing, and implementation of application software code.
This position will be responsible to work collaboratively with the NMPP team as well as departments across Northwestern Medicine to complete projects in support of the implementation of value based contracts, the clinical integration program and population health initiatives.
Develops and maintains knowledge of the capabilities and functions of Business Intelligence solutions and related software. Uses this knowledge to recommend optimal solutions to business requirements that best leverages the product using best practicemethodologies.
