This position is responsible for supporting the development and execution of Global Commodity Strategies designed to leverage worldwide purchase of raw materials, components, and various products required, in support of the Original Equipment and Aftermarket businesses.
Responsible for analysis and utilization of continuous improvement tools to design Supply Chain Solutions for current and future operations. Provides regular and proactive communications to customers and Ryder Management.
Supply Chain Planning professionals develop and implement integrated supply and demand planning strategies that improve cost efficiency, increase business effectiveness and create synergies and collaboration across companies.
The candidate is expected to lead workshops with end users in order to capture business requirements, to demonstrate expertise by helping the client include best practices and to develop a roadmap for deployment.
Reviews requisitions and confers with departments regarding requirements, specifications, quantity and quality of merchandise, and delivery requirements; recommends alternate suppliers where a savings in cost or improved delivery will result.
Responsible for calling on contacts within producer organizations and Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) companies to identify future projects and capture business for new facility design, integration and construction projects.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for making presentations to key personnel and decision makers within hospital and healthcare organizations who secure and purchase supply chain management services.
This position will have a strong customer interface and the ideal candidate will have the ability to influence others. Excellent relationship building and communication skills along with attention to detail is a must for this position.
Develop inventory management program with existing and new vendors to minimize raw materials levels. Track and submit an excess inventory analysis presentation for redistribution/scrap/sale of materials.
