The Air Defense Systems Engineer serves as a resident engineering expert, often as a team leader, responsible for researching, developing, and maintaining the anti-air models and simulations used to analyze Geographic and Functional Combatant Commander (GCC/FCC) war plans in support of strategic, operational and tactical objectives.
The ideal candidate will have experience with maintenance and support of desktops, servers, networking equipment and include planning, Implementation, maintenance, and support of Windows based systems.
In this role, you will be performing multiple engineering activities including trade studies, project planning, design analyses, operational concept definition, requirements management, cost-benefit and life cycle cost analyses (including Cost-as-an Independent Variable (CAIV)), risk analyses, performance modeling and simulation, project planning and specialty engineering.
In this role, you will conduct systems engineering activities as defined in the Landsat Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP) including preparing systems operations concepts, developing and implementing system requirements, defining and documenting system interface definitions, conducting architecture and trade study analysis, and developing system test plans.
In this role, the selected candidate will perform coding changes or develops new systematic processes based on technical specifications; develop and execute unit tests and scripts to ensure coding changes adhere to functional requirements and technical specifications.
This System Engineering position will focus on performing trade studies on diverse system architectures and potential efficiencies to architectures currently in use within the Landsat project. The candidate will have experience in cloud and in enterprise architectures.
