Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare journal entries and document business transactions. Prepares monthly and quarterly operational performance reports. In doing so, utilizes discretion and judgment as to matters of significance.
In this role, you will perform a variety of accounting and tax duties that relate to fuel tax, sales tax and the preparation of monthly reports; responsible for researching and correctly applying fuel and sales tax laws for all 50 states; preparing monthly reports and reconciling to the general ledger; preparing tax returns.
In this role, the selected candidate will ensure that purchasing and receiving personnel are entering timely and accurate receipts in accordance with Purchase to Pay policy, including ensuring these receipts are in the appropriate period.
