The Registered Nurse is responsible for working in a team environment using a multidisciplinary approach, with a team of care providers, providing nursing care adapted to individual patient needs based on the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. With passion, skill, creativity, respect, and a positive approach, the RN assumes accountability to peers, and functions as a strong team player in caring for patients.
In this role, you will provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about various health conditions, and provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members.
Provide nursing care to complex patients requiring: continual assessment, frequent adjustment of interventions (including medications), evaluation of multiple interventions, knowledge of behavioral health patient care and the application of knowledge related to developmental / physiological differences though the age continuum.
Their primary responsibility is to develop a safe plan of care and appropriate treatment follow-up for patients that are being seen within their specialty(ies) and facilitate and coordinate care across segments of the healthcare delivery system.
