In this role, the selected candidate will document and validate user system requirements Leverage industry best practices and apply business and/or strategy recommendations and emerging data warehouse technology.
Troubleshoot complex technical problems, and assess and mitigate risks by conducting performance tuning, backup/recovery, and scalability/capacity planning using Linux, system calls, memory management, and program debugging.
Provide both technical administrative duties in the area s of business database support, change, incident and problem management, ad providing continuous operational and technical support to application users.
Requires a service oriented mentality, high sense of ownership of the problems and requests assigned, focus on managing and resolving issues in alignment with the SLAs, establishing and maintaining communication with technology customers to keep them updated with status of their requests, initiating and performing changes on production systems and proactively escalating any issues that cannot be resolved within the established timeframes.
In this role, you will have experience supporting large-scale, massively concurrent, highly available distributed database systems. You will lead a team of talented and dedicated dba focusing on the health of our entire application stack through the complete system life cycle.
