The Therapist will assess, plan, administer, evaluate and provide safe hand therapy. This will include progression of treatment goals and patient and family education. The Hand Therapist will assess and treat a patient caseload ranging from routine to complex patient problems and situations and utilize training in the evaluation and treatment process.
Develops treatment goals, in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team, that are time specific and result in discharge of the patient to his home environment attaining the highest level of function possible.
Working in the health care environment can be very demanding, and it is our goal to provide the tools to help our Occupational Therapists / OT understand and commit to the philosophy that defines our culture.
Acts as a resource within the rehab therapy department and for other health care professional. Participates in service or selected department activities/projects to promote delivery of quality hand therapy care. Provides education training to other rehab therapy staff and health care professionals.
