The manufacturing systems engineer (MSE) will assess and evaluate parts, materials and processes (PMP) and implementation; will consolidate, develop, and coordinate PMP audit and discrepancy reports; will perform and capture risk analyses associated with PMP audits.
In this position, you will participate in various levels of Top level to Sub-system assemblies; avionics, ADCS, mechanisms, Cabling/Harnessing, preparing subsystems for test, Payload assembly, Vehicle level assembly.
In this role, you will design, implement and develop automated tests for new innovations. You will be a critical team leader who will lead the estimation process, assess risks and effectively mentor other junior team members to improve their skills and raise the bar on software development best practices.
In this position, you will design / build handling systems to enable various levels of partial-assembly testing during prototype development; such as multi degree of freedom, accurate structures to enable positioning of instrumented test units in a variety of test facilities: Anechoic chambers, T-Vac, T-cycle, shock etc.
The selected candidate will analyze, evaluate, and plan methods of approach, organize means to achieve solutions of complex technical problems, conduct investigations and tests of considerable complexity, and review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for implementing 5 S programs to enhance productivity for the manufacturing facility; develop a new layout to promote the one piece flow or existing layout modifications.
In this position, you will perform a hands-on engineering and liaison role between the hardware design team and our production organization as company works to implement new designs into the manufacturing phase.
