The Nursing Supervisor job will oversee the hospital staff to ensure quality care and compliance with policies and mandated regulations; provide professional guidance for nursing personnel, manage disciplinary issues, prepare administrative reports, review staffing and budgetary needs, and integrate Nursing Services functions with other hospital departments.
This employee has the responsibility for coordination of total customer care. RN Nursing Supervisor performs responsible supervisory and professional work in directing and coordinating all nursing units.
In this role, you will responsible for supervising nursing personnel to deliver nursing care and within scope of practice coordinates care delivery, which will ensure that patient's needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, center policies and procedures, and federal, state and local guidelines.
The hs will round with staff and physicians for throughput strategies to decrease length of stay, expedite admissions and offload the emergency department and pacu however possible through appropriate resource allocation.
The First Line Supervisor is a Registered Professional Nurse and is responsible for the delivery of Patient Care on a specific shift(s), shows evidence of knowledge of Nursing Theory, Principles and Procedures and demonstrates skill, good judgment and good decision-making in applying these Principles in the Clinical setting. He/she is responsible for the planning, delivery and evaluation of Nursing Care.
