In this role, you will be responsible for patient and families to provide emotional support, patient education, teaching, and guidance following the diagnosis of cancer through treatment, survivorship, and end stage disease, if necessary.
The Inpatient Services Charge Nurse is an additional "responsibility" assigned to the Inpatient Services RN, for a limited period of time, and for specific additional duties, as assigned by the Program Manager.
In this role, you will assess daily patient care needs and communicate concerns to attending physician. Implement changes in patient care/treatment as directed and in collaboration with prescribing physicians.
In this role, the selected candidate will interface with external agencies and representatives relative to the utilization management process, including, but not limited to, health plans, medical providers, vendors and CMS.
This role will be responsible for performing a variety of duties including procedures that requires independent judgment, and initiative, treat patients, staff, physicians and the general public in a courteous and respectful manner and perform other related duties as assigned.
