The Senior staff engineer in advanced technology manufacturing will lead the selection and development of manufacturing processes and designs required to support the assembly and launch of opto-mechanical products.
Mechanical and Opto-mechanical design of laser projection products, and MEMS based scanner packaging from requirements and architecture definition, through concept development and design to manufacturing of high volume products.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, Virginia. Tasks will be in the areas of High Power RF, Pulsed Power, Prime Power, and Directed Energy research, development.
Perform design reviews, evaluate construct ability, and make recommendations to increase energy efficiencies, help resolve technical issues, and manage information generated through the design and construction phases of multiple and concurrent projects.
The candidate will be expected to apply knowledge of and experience with requirements definition and test engineering principles, as well as have the ability to develop system level test plans and procedures, develop and analyze system/subsystem designs, and evaluate technical reports.
Working under minimal supervision, the Senior Manufacturing Engineer defines, develops, documents, and qualifies manufacturing processes supporting new product development and/or production of existing products.
