The Principal Software Engineer is senior level position within The Advisory Board's Enterprise Technologies Data Team and will be deeply involved in the full product life cycle of multiple data intensive applications and data architecture.
Performs complex systems development and design work that may include logic design; I/O design; firmware development; model formulation; manufacturing and development cost projections; computer architecture analysis and design; and analog or digital systems engineering.

A successful candidate will lead a project to build a Portal in the Amazon cloud, interfaces with an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) with multiple integration points to other applications for portal content. Act as the Cloud SME for a team of 30+ developers. He/she will also lead an effort to develop a new Portal to display the status of communication services to multiple customers. Work with a fast paced development team and reach out to work with a new client.
As Principal IT Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting, implementing, and managing VMware vCenter, Horizon View 5 VDI infrastructure, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, HPAC Secure Printing, and HP Blade Servers and Storage Area Networks in a distributed IT environment.
Develop and conduct tests to ensure the systems meet documented user requirements and function as planned. This includes providing an in-depth analysis that identifies defects; vulnerabilities; and incompatibilities with other systems' hardware and software.
