Participates in the coordination of research projects including patient enrollment and manages the associated documentation. Develops policies and procedures as needed to facilitate optimal patient care and functions as a liaison to nursing. Proficient in use of EPIC system.
The PA will support the newly aligned Acute Care Surgery Service. The PA will also be responsible for performing high-quality clinical practices and effective patient management, under physician supervision, in accordance with state regulations, including primary and secondary specialty care in clinical and/or surgical practice settings.
The PA will work closely with the Principal Investigators, Physician Assistant, and Research Coordinators to implement vaccine trials in adult human subjects according to good clinical practice guidelines.
The physician assistant will assist the attending physician during electrophysiology diagnostic, interventional and research procedures performed in the interventional lab and complete procedure report forms.
In this role, you will ability necessary to evaluate and determine health status of patient and implement proper care plan. Interpersonal skills necessary to interview, teach and counsel patients; instruct health care personnel on procedures and treatment.

Assist in surgery under direct supervision of the attending surgeon; serves as First Assist in OR; performs the following functions in surgery: retract; suction; sponge; clamp, tie, & cauterize vessels; suture skin, ligate & tie vessels, muscles, and subcutaneous closure; assists in such additional functions as may be deemed appropriate by attending surgeon; adheres to aseptic techniques.
