The Network Administrator's role is to ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network; this includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software and communications links.
The ideal candidate would have experience as a network administrator in another company. Also candidates should have extensive experience in Azure from work-related roles. Familiarity with other Microsoft products such as Office 365 is also beneficial to being successful in this role.
This project operates, manages, and monitors the health and status of Record Message Systems and world-wide customer communications/hardware and software applications, troubleshoots and performs corrective action on LAN/CAN/WAN/Messaging devices, networks.
Monitor, maintain and administer the health of the corporate wide network infrastructure Maintain and administer network infrastructure standards, documentation and fault tolerance Monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco, Juniper, and Nortel devices (AS5300,CS2100, VOIP, Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
Provide hardware and software technical support for loading software and verifying system configurations; preparing mission servers and collection devices; troubleshooting systems; and creating system documentation.
Provides network administration of network, web, and/or communication systems, including local area network (lan) and wide area network (wan) systems, involving network security. Prepares technical implementation plans that provide integrated solutions including actions, milestones, timelines and critical paths required for complete solutions.
Provide Tier 2 support and serves on the front line as a technical member of the Network Administration team;perform site surveys, fabricates cables, and monitors the network traffic and the status of devices.
This position works closely with faculty, staff and students in a collaborative manner to support various academic, research and healthcare needs across the institution. This position plays a major role in supporting core infrastructure and department specific services across various colleges and business units at the University.
