Develops internal training material under supervision of the GMAL but with increasing independence and provides medical training at internal meetings for the relevant product(s) and therapy area(s) to GSK Regional/ LOC medical teams.
Utilize the quality process and best practices to improve clinical operation of the unit. Utilizes TJC standards and nursing practice tools and research to support a care delivery system that produces quality care with optimal outcomes. Incorporates data and information to continually improve operations.
Provide analytical and methodological expertise on Medical Affairs and Clinical Development studies; through extensive collaboration, obtain multi-functional input on prospective and epidemiological initiatives.
Provides clinical leadership and development for a population health programs or functional area within Medical Management, e.g, patient centered medical home, health and wellness, population management, high risk care management, reporting capability, etc.
Serve as the interface with medical directors of other divisions, departments, and clinical units throughout the hospital in the coordination of care that crosses and flows between the pediatric ICU and those other entities.
Write orders for appropriate laboratory EKG and radiology studies. Order appropriate treatments including IV fluids and medications. Request consultations as indicated by patients clinical presentation and acuity.
