Support DASD(SE) in the interaction and outreach with industry association quality and manufacturing organizations associated with the MRL working groups to continuously refresh the manufacturing and quality body of knowledge.
Provides technical leadership and individual contributions to mechanical and electro-mechanical engineering design and development efforts on multi-disciplinary project teams to create reliable, robust, high performance medical instrumentation. Participates in project planning and insures that schedule milestones are met. Applies technical insight and judgment for technology assessment and problem solving. Serves as a subject matter expert on medical consumables development and mid to high volume molded part design.
Provide technical solutions to automate processes or functions to improve business operations; review and assist in integrated technical approaches to define, document and recommend appropriate directions, courses of action to senior leadership.
Work closely with other departments (Engineering, Marketing, IT, Branding, Industrial Design) to brainstorm and optimize deployments; support multiple projects, as assigned, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Utilize software systems integration technology combined with expertise in various technical disciplines and outstanding client support to deliver comprehensive, practical solutions to the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, their Prime Contractors, and Commercial Customers.
The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in railroad and transit infrastructure and facilities design requirements, track geometrics and civil design, possess a solid understanding of design processes, and have experience preparing construction bid documents and providing design support services during construction.
