The Global Infrastructure Engineer II under direction from the Global Infrastructure Engineering Manager, will be responsible primarily for implementing, operating, and maintaining tools under the department.
Support other Infrastructure team members as needed in administration/configuration of Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft System Center suite, Cisco Unified Communications, backup/restores, VMware vSphere/ESXi and EMC SAN.
Handle multiple issues from multiple users and prioritize in terms of criticality, which to focus and resolve first; build strong relationships with other teams through clear & concise communication, delivery and domain knowledge.
The responsibilities also cover daily health checks, configuration reviews, capacity management, incident management, root cause analysis, service improvement programs, risk management, security, patching, , Firmware upgrades, product overview, Infrastructure buildouts, decommission general maintenance activities are important parts of this job, as are the implementation and acceptance of new technology into the environment.
The Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for providing support for all activities related to cloud and infrastructure on the x86 platform architecture for all types of servers and Operating Systems.
Daily coordination and communication with Stakeholders, which includes COTR and Federal Project Managers on tasks, projects and new initiatives. Establish and maintain excellent customer relationship through timely correspondence and meeting coordination to mitigate risks and achieve objectives. Provide guidance to Stakeholders, in the areas of capacity planning, strategic planning, and emerging technologies, and process improvements.
The Datacenter Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for, onsite, support of Data Center environments in multiple locations. Replacing hard drives/memory/etc and other hardware related tasks as required by our server and network teams.
