The Platform Solution Architect is responsible for providing best practice advisory services to functional and technical streams throughout the solution implementation and ongoing sustainment. The Solution Architect is the most senior design authority on the project.
Works with architects, engineers, and developers who are constructing the big picture as well as the operating components (virtualized hardware, software, and APIs) and highly distributed complex applications.
Responsible for gathering and defining the architecture requirements and for ensuring that the architectures are compatible and in compliance with the appropriate IT organization and project standards.
Assist in development of the Windows Development and Production Environment (WDPE), which is a project that is mandated to establish standards for development and production support for application systems on a Windows platform.
The Sustainment Architect must demonstrate comprehensive experience and knowledge of the subject matter of sustainment performance based logistics strategy, operational, organizational and business architecture.
Lead design of exception handling and data cleansing / standardization procedures and business transformation rules and logic. Leads the development of processes to avoid redundancy in data elements, where applicable.
Serve as Team Lead for analyzing/interpreting procurement requirements and framing technical solutions (strategy and approach) for large, enterprise-wide proposals as well as task order responses for new IT business opportunities.
Ensures that the CMS technical baseline, which consists of custom software, integrated Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) software, and networked hardware products, is compliant with contract requirements and system performance goals.
Design and develop customized workflows for five functional areas as part of the SharePoint Pilot. Develop and use SharePoint applications as a collaboration platform, a records and document management platform, and as a process management platform to improve specific business processes within ORTM.
