The role of the Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director. The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Lees Summit Medical Center Hospital.
The Nurse Practitioner/Director of Nursing is required to effectively manage, direct, and administer the nursing department in accordance with company policies and procedures, standard nursing practices, and governmental regulations so as to maintain quality of care for all residents and a positive working environment for all staff.
In this role, you will coordinate and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care. Nursing care is provided in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, applicable state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice, and the generic and unit structure standards.

In this role, you will conduct a nursing assessment by taking a patient history and physical assessment and by obtaining vital signs and other medical tests. Provides treatment within scope of practice as defined by state law.
