Develops policies, procedures and objectives for the operation of the purchasing program in accordance with company objectives. Implements company policy and governmental regulations applicable to procurement within the department, among users and vendors, while ensuring purchases are made at the lowest cost and consistent with approved quality and delivery standards.
Develops business and technical requirements for systems projects and programs required by Procurement, Business Groups served by Procurement, other departments interfacing with Procurement, and regulatory agencies, as applicable.
The Procurement Manager executes sourcing strategies for the assigned site(s) and / or categories as defined in the three to five year roadmaps, and as directed by the Sourcing Group Director / Manager. The assigned scope typically supports a category strategy, where the Procurement Manager is executing projects that affects local sites or single businesses. Categories may span Contract manufacturing and electromechanical.
Manage the execution and reporting of the companys physical inventories. Maintain relationships with Store Operations, Shortage Control and IT teams to ensure accurate and timely execution, booking and reporting of physical inventories.
Demonstrates proven extensive abilities and success in roles managing the supply chain process in three or more of the following skill sets, as well as a specialty in pharmaceutical and biologics supply chain and operations.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing all operational activities and associated costs of formulations, packaging, transportation and distribution network, inventory control, and warehousing processes while maintaining a focus on cost reduction.
